Will you be in compliance by the 2026 deadline?
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has established a new minimum standard for pavement marking “retroreflectivity," improving safety for all road users by ensuring that pavement markings are made more visible in dark or low light conditions.
The FHWA’s final rule “establishes minimum maintained retroreflectivity levels for longitudinal pavement markings on all roads open to public travel with speed limits of 35 mph or greater.” The final rule also requires state and local agencies or officials to implement a method by 2026 for maintaining pavement marking retroreflectivity at or above minimum levels. These pavement marking improvements are eligible for 100% federal funding.
Blyncsy is your new paintline visibility monitoring solution
Through the use of visual imagery on roadways and artificial intelligence to analyze the data, Blyncsy can automatically detect areas of concern. These kinds of detections can be delivered in real time and at a much lower cost. Our technology not only detects issues but also notifies key departments, and actionable insights can be automatically uploaded into a workflow to increase the speed and efficiency with which they are addressed.
By automating the detection of roadway maintenance issues, from crack detection and signage to paint marking retroreflectivity, your teams can spend more time fixing problems and creating a safer transportation network for all your constituents.
