The position will be focused on understanding, maximizing and leveraging the incredible amounts of movement data capture by the Blyncsy sensors. You should be eager to work behind the scenes in developing the data-driven insights that will help Blyncsy customers improve transportation.

This position reports to the CTO

• Work with the CTO and the rest of the dev team to understand the data

• Determine new and innovative uses for the data

• Make sense of much and complex data

• Provide integral feedback into the product (and company) road map

• Expand current skills as well as learn new things

Desired skills

• 5+ years experience in data science or related field

• Ability to make complex data presentable to laypersons

• Excellent ability in building algorithms and models from data

• Experience in machine learning

• Scala/Spark proficiency

• Experience with big data/ data warehousing and databases such as Cassandra

• Experience creating interactive, performant, data driven applications

• Experience with Spark, Python, MatLab, etc.

• Ability to think critically about requirements and design to help drive the process

• History of working well with a small, multi-talented dev team

• Bachelors ,masters, PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, etc.
